As we welcome in the new year, we’ve taken a look back on the event-ful 2022 and highlighted some of our favourite moments. It has been a busy and exciting year for Alpha Crew, filled with a variety of events and jobs that have kept us on our toes. We are so grateful for our talented and dedicated team, and to have worked with some amazing clients and venues. From large-scale festivals to intimate corporate events, we’re so proud of all our team members and peers. Fashion Weeks
It’s been an absolute pleasure for Alpha Crew to have been a part of both London and Paris Fashion Week this year. Being able to work alongside some big names in the industry and contributing to the success of these highly-anticipated events has been an honour. From setting up elaborate runways and coordinating backstage logistics, to ensuring everything ran smoothly, our team put in countless hours of hard work and dedication to make these events a success. We are very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such iconic events and look forward to continuing to work within the fashion industry in the future.
A Year of Music
Some of our most exciting 2022 opportunities have included working on some of the UK’s biggest music festivals. From the legendary Glastonbury, to Boardmasters and BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend, we’ve had an incredible time being part of these truly unforgettable events. Working on festivals of this scale is no easy feat, but our team rose to the challenge and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish, setting up stages and managing logistics, they played a crucial role in the success of these iconic festivals.
London to Paris Bike Ride
In September of 2021, we devastatingly lost one of our beloved Alpha Crew family members, Hassan Elabbady after he suffered complications with his heart. His tragic passing touched all of us at Alpha Crew, so we wanted to do something in his memory.
In April, a team of Alpha Crew employees got together to raise money for the British Heart Foundation by cycling from London to Paris in three days. The team had an absolutely fantastic time on their journey, and we are so proud of them and their incredible effort, and to everyone who donated. Together we raised over £1500 which was donated to the British Heart Foundation in honour of Hassan. Going into 2023 we remember Hassan everyday and his impact he had on all of us at Alpha Crew. We are looking forward to taking part in another new challenge in his memory later this year!
Award-Worthy Year
It has been an honour to have been a part of some of the most prestigious national awards events, from the Pride of Britain to the British Fashion Awards. These prestigious occasions are a celebration of the very best in British talent and achievement, and Alpha Crew were so proud to have played a part in their execution.
We were also thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Event Crew of the Year award at the Event Production Awards 2022. It was a privilege to have been recognised among the top event crew companies in the industry. While we were not fortunate enough to take home the prize this year, we had an amazing evening attending the awards and celebrating the achievements of our peers in the industry.
An Assorted Bunch
2022 was another busy one for us - much to our delight! The unique jobs we’ve worked this year have been diverse in both type and location. From our annual job with Somerset house for the Moet & Chandon Skate event, to the grand opening of the new Battersea Power Station shopping centre, we’ve had the pleasure of being a part of a wide range of events. Another highlight for us was working on the Friends Experience in Paris. Being able to bring a beloved TV show to life for fans was amazing.
Growth and Expansion in Europe
In recent years we’ve expanded our crew locations, including a total of 3 bases now in France. This growth has given us the opportunity to work even more jobs overseas. This year our team headed to Cannes for the world renowned celebration of creativity, the Cannes Lions Festival. We also crossed the border to Italy for the annual and exclusive Google Camp thought leadership conference which is always inspiring.
A super exciting milestone for us this year was our expansion to Barcelona, our first crew location in Spain. This has been a really exciting step for us as we continue to grow and expand our reach. A vibrant and dynamic city, Barcelona has a thriving events industry and we are thrilled to be bringing our expertise and experience to the market. We look forward to continuing to grow even more and to provide exceptional event crew services to our clients in Barcelona and beyond.
10th Anniversary
In 2022 we celebrated our biggest milestone yet. 10 years of Alpha Crew! We reflected on the last decade and celebrated our crew and clients for their loyalty and dedication to the company. Through it all, our team has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to excellence that is unmatched in the industry. Thanks to them, we’re proud of the reputation we have built in events and are grateful to our clients for their trust and support. We look forward to continuing to serve the events industry and create memorable experiences for years to come, and are excited to go into our 11th year of business in 2023!
2022 Alpha Crew Christmas Party
We concluded the year with our annual team Christmas party - which was one of our biggest highlights of the year. Nothing can beat getting the whole team together to celebrate the festive season and all of their incredible achievements. This year, we had our first annual crew awards!
