Alpha Crew are excited to announce that we are bringing back our annual Charity Bike Ride! After the success we had with our inaugural ride in 2022, we want to try and beat our first fundraising goal and cycle even further. Read on to find out how our journey started.
Hassan’s Story
In 2021, we lost a beloved family member, Hassan Elabbady. Every single person at Alpha Crew was touched by his passing and wanted to do something in his memory, and to help others with heart conditions like he did.
To honour Hassan, we decided to raise money for The British Heart Foundation (BHF). The BHF is an incredible cardiovascular research charity based in the UK that helps fund scientific research and breakthroughs in medicine. We chose this charity because their research funds so many important heart issues, including the same that Hassan faced.
Last year, 8 of our team cycled from London to Paris in three days and raised over £1500 for the BHF. This year, we wanted to set an even bigger challenge for ourselves.
London to Amsterdam ‘23
This year our team will be starting their journey from London, once again - and this time cycling even further, to Amsterdam!
Over 4 days in April the team will be cycling a total of 286 miles:
Distance – 80 miles (129km) Climb – 4,025 feet (1226m)
Three countries in one day. Distance – 73 miles (118km) Climb – 450 feet (137m)
- Day 3 - Bruges to Oostvoorne
Distance – 78 miles (118km) Climb – 600 feet (183m)
- Day 4 - Oostvoorne to Amsterdam
Distance – 62 miles (98km) Climb – 625 feet (190m)
- Day 5 - Rest! Our team will be able to relax and celebrate their achievement in the beautiful city of Amsterdam before they catch their flight back home.
