We are raising money for The British Heart Foundation in memory of our beloved Alpha Crew family member Hassan Elabbady and we’d love your support.
Hassan was well known for being smiley, super positive and an all-around legend. He was an amazing guy who always worked extremely hard, put his all into everything and was a truly valued member of the Alpha Crew team. In September 2021, after suffering complications with his heart, Hassan tragically passed away. His devastating loss touched each and every person at Alpha Crew and we will always treasure his memory and the time we had with him. This great loss inspired us to come together and do something in his name and to raise money to help others with heart conditions like Hassan.

The Ride
This year the team consists of 9 riders from Alpha Crew, who over 3 days will be cycling over 250 miles from their homes in London to the beautiful city of Brussels. Our annual bike ride holds a special place at Alpha Crew and allows us to test our strength and endurance and come together as a team. This ride will be challenging, but our riders have been training hard and the knowledge that their efforts are for a good cause will spur them on.
On May 10th, the riders will set off from their homes in London and cycle 145km to Folkestone, ready to make the journey to Belgium in the morning. Day 2 is a 178km ride from Folkestone to Wevelgem in Belgium, the longest leg of the challenge. On the third and final day, the team will cycle 112km from Wevelgem to the beautiful city of Brussels! Once they arrive they will take a well-deserved break before returning to England (not by bike!) the following day.

Raising Money
All the money donated will go straight to The British Heart Foundation in honour of Hassan, whom everyone at Alpha Crew misses dearly. The British Heart Foundation is an amazing UK charity that helps fund scientific breakthroughs in medicine. Donations to the BHF fund research into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Additionally, they provide resources, accept item donations, and offer alternative ways to help. We chose this charity because their research funds so many important heart issues, including the same that Hassan faced. We hope the money we raise will positively impact those affected.
